Civilian® Services
Emergency Rescue
Specialist rescue teams for confined spaces, working at height, water environments, and complex extractions — delivering safe, structured rescue operations wherever they are needed.
How We Operate
Our Operational Standards
Rescue Team Competency
All rescue operatives hold relevant qualifications for their discipline — confined space rescue, working-at-height rescue, and water rescue teams are assessed annually against the relevant industry standard.
Risk Assessment Protocol
A written rescue plan and site-specific risk assessment is produced before every standby deployment. Dynamic risk assessments are conducted at every incident prior to team commitment.
Equipment & Readiness
Rescue equipment is inspected daily using a standardised checklist. All PPE is LOLER/PUWER compliant where applicable. Equipment is calibrated, tagged, and replaced at manufacturer intervals.
Crew Structure
Every rescue team deploys with a minimum of four operatives: an Incident Commander, two rescue operators, and a Casualty Care Technician. Team composition scales with the complexity of the task.
Communication & Command
All rescue operations run under formal incident command with designated entry control, atmosphere monitoring, and surface team roles. Radio communications are maintained throughout every operation.
Post-Incident Reporting
Every rescue incident generates a post-incident report within 24 hours, covering timeline, actions taken, equipment used, and lessons identified. Reportable incidents are submitted to HSE as required by RIDDOR.
What We Deliver
Rescue Capabilities
Confined Space Rescue
Fully equipped and trained rescue teams for entry into manholes, tanks, vessels, tunnels, and other confined spaces — compliant with the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.
Working at Height Rescue
Rope access rescue and suspended casualty recovery from scaffolding, structures, masts, and elevated platforms. Teams hold IRATA or equivalent certification.
Water & Flood Rescue
Swift water rescue teams deployable to inland waterways, flooded environments, and coastal margins. All water rescue operators hold DEFRA-aligned competencies.
Urban Search & Rescue
Structural collapse search and rescue capability with void search, shoring, and casualty packaging for deployment in the aftermath of structural failures or explosions.
Casualty Extraction
Specialist extraction of casualties from vehicles, machinery, or structures where conventional access is not possible. Teams carry hydraulic, pneumatic, and manual tools.
Industrial Rescue Standby
Rescue team standby for high-risk industrial operations including hot-works, civil engineering, demolition, and energy sector maintenance — providing immediate response capability.
Mass Rescue Planning
Pre-incident rescue planning, mass casualty triage support, and multi-agency coordination for large-scale events or infrastructure projects.
Rescue Team Training
We design and deliver rescue team training programmes for organisations with in-house rescue obligations — including confined space, first line, and emergency rescue team training.
